about

11 youths participated in a SEA Us Fellowship called "SEA Us Write & Design," a 10 week long fellowship program for youth who are writers and artists and want to learn

  • How to make a mini-book (aka zine)

    • Youth will learn to write / illustrate a story

    • Curate the story onto a storyboard

    • Handmake their own book

  • Create Products and be an Artist Entrepreneur!

    • Brainstorm, price, and craft!

  • Arts & Crafts Fair Showcase

    • Youth will host their own arts & crafts table to sell their created products and printed versions of their mini-book.​

These workshops strived to strengthen youth as a SEA and creative individual through creative methods by providing a safe and supportive space, such as:

  • Building positive relationships

  • Exploring intersecting identities 

  • Empowering voices

  • Fostering individual growth and success

Join us for the exhibition of "The Art of Resistance" by Zhi Kai Vanderford. Vanderford is a transgender artist, activist, writer, and elder. This exhibit curates the artwork he's created while incarcerated in the last 37 years. The exhibit curates four different themes: identity & transformation, prisons & policing, police violence, and friends.

Camelia

Brand: CamLy Art

Camelia is a self-taught artist and has been sketching/drawing since she was four. She is a lover of K-Pop and anime. Camelia has always felt this creative side to her and applies it to the various mediums she has been experimenting with, such as drawing and crocheting. In the future, Camelia hopes to pursue a career in the art field.

AMI is a creative director, photographer and multi-media artist based in Minneapolis, MN and is available worldwide. AMI is known for her high-level execution photographing fashion editorials but has strived in her roles as producer, art director, scout and stylist.

Luna likes to use a mix of media and traditional art styles. Some of her hobbies are reading fantasy novels and watching anime. A job career that she would like to have when she grows up is to be an author

Oleevia has been writing for four years. She enjoys loafing around with her chickens, and attempting to sing. Her most recent goal is working towards continuing her 4-year long streak of attending karate lessons. She is most proficient in consuming seafood.
